Akilah Pelt

Case Manager, Manasseh Ministry

Akilah Pelt is a dedicated case manager with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals impacted by the justice system, domestic violence, addiction, and mental health issues. Her own journey as a formerly incarcerated individual fuels her commitment to helping others heal, grow, and reclaim their lives.

Akilah has worked with organizations like The Bail Project to assist people in transitioning from incarceration back into their communities. Currently, she works at The Keyway Center for Diversion and facilitates domestic violence support groups at the St. Louis County Justice Center. Akilah understands how the system can fail individuals but also recognizes their immense potential for transformation.

In 2023, Akilah was honored with the EXMADD award from Manasseh Ministry for her outstanding contributions. She strives every day to provide hope and guidance to others facing challenges she has personally overcome.

What we do

Who we are

Manasseh Ministry, a nonprofit organization located in St. Louis, Missouri. Envisioned by Richard Jackson in 1988 during his incarceration with a purpose to assist currently, formerly incarcerated people and their families. Upon his release, Mr. Jackson and volunteers began the necessary work, offering direct services to currently, formerly incarcerated people and their families.
