Patty Berger

Director of Legislative Outreach, Manasseh Ministry

Patty Berger brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to her role as Director of Legislative Outreach at Manasseh Ministry. A mother of two and grandmother of five, Patty earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri-St. Louis at the age of 58. She is also a credentialed Substance Use Disorder Counselor in the State of Missouri and currently serves as the Deputy Public Administrator for the City of St. Louis.

Since 2018, Patty has been the President of the St. Louis Chapter of AOUON. Although she’s been out of the criminal justice system since 2001, she continues to advocate for the rights and reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals (FIPs). As a woman who spent 20 years in and out of prison and battled addiction for over 30 years, Patty brings a unique and powerful perspective to her work. Her advocacy focuses on challenging policies, changing public perceptions, and supporting others as they re-enter their communities after incarceration.

Patty views her work as an opportunity to "pay it forward" and is committed to using her voice to bring about meaningful change for those still navigating the system she once experienced firsthand.
